Job Description


Be the custodian for the brand and corporate reputation.


  • Shape and protect Scoot’s corporate reputation, including creating awareness and building brand love.
  • Be the key custodian of the brand's key messages, tie back campaigns/activities to comms objectives and message house, and guide other internal stakeholders to do the same.
  •  Drive key comms/PR campaigns.

 

Drive corporate communication activities, including but not limited to:


  • Draft press releases/notes, speeches, presentation slides, talking points, briefing booklets, FAQs.
  • Maintain repository of assets including corporate photos, company boilerplate and factsheet.
  • Update corporate decks and management bios.
  • Submit or facilitate award entries/collection/tracking.
  • Support internal stakeholders to review their communication materials/address their communication needs.

 

Oversee PR Agencies and In-Market Scoot PR representatives. 


  • Guide and sync with in-market Scoot PR representatives on localisation efforts aligned with HQ strategy and plans.
  • Guide and manage in-market PR agencies to deliver market-specific and effective comms/PR campaigns/activities, as well as submit awards where applicable.
  • Ensure PR agencies meet deliverables and that their contracts are renewed or replaced before expiry.
  • Develop in-market PR campaigns with PR agencies according to in-market PR calendar and aligned with HQ strategy and plans.

 

Media Relations


  •  Liaise with media, proactively and reactively.
  • Facilitate media interviews/filming.
  • Organise media events/engagement.
  • Cultivate media relationships for earned media.
  • Work with SQPA and other industry-related communications team like CAAS, CAG etc, where necessary, to manage media.
  • Manage media relations mailbox and media phone while on duty.
  • Develop story angles for media pitches.
  • Update media contact list, where necessary.

 

Monitoring and Reporting


  • Monitor comms/PR efforts and provide regular reporting of performance to date.
  • Monitor the news, proactively flag out and provide timely updates in reputation damaging media articles/social media posts.
  • Stay up to date on industry/competitor news to identify comms/PR opportunities. 

 

Oversee incident management/crisis communications for Scoot. 


  • Participate in regular crisis comms exercise, where necessary.
  • Provide timely counsel to management and other internal stakeholders in the event of reputational risks; highlight potential sensitivities in view of in-market sentiments or media landscape.
  • Provide timely updates to external stakeholders (including but not limited to SQPA, CAAS and CAG), where necessary.

 

Support Group level initiatives, including but not limited to:


  • Financial updates and annual report.
  • Sustainability initiatives.
  • Media engagement sessions.

 

Others


  • Review and update Comms Team templates/SOPs/guidelines/trackers/lists, where necessary.
  • Work with other Marketing teams to evaluate flight sponsorship requests and commercial collaborations.
  • Liaise with tourism boards and any other partners for support for comms-specific activities.
