Key Result Responsibilities


1.   Manages the administrative and operational areas of Crew Planning and Control ensuring the efficient and timely delivery

of tasks in the highest possible standards compliant with all policies, procedures and regulations.

2.   Facilitates change, development and delivery for the Crew Planning systems to assure regulatory compliance and

continued reduction in manual tasks with increased crew efficiency ratings.

3.   Reviews schedules and recommends adjustments to minimize headcount needs while maximizing crew usability.

4.   Works closely with Flight and Cabin Crew Operations on identifying potential improvements to current procedures, policies

and practices to enhance the section’s efficiency and improve both internal and external processes. Specifically targeting

utilization maximization, cost efficiency and crew satisfaction parameters.

5.   Partners with relevant entities to obtain the necessary approvals on financials and costs relating to accepted Fatigue Risk

Management 

6.   Collaborates with Safety and Quality Assurance departments in addressing identified and potential safety and compliance

issues related to Crew Planning and Control’s scope and responsibilities. Responsible to the Post Holder Flight Operations

/ Training to submit reports on non-conformance.

7.   Ensures that required reports and other deliverables of Crew Planning and Control are transmitted and adhere to agreed

timelines and confidential reporting guidelines. Works to build and manage using exception based reporting and live

dashboards arranged around business and unit priorities.

8.   Seek efficiency in all crew training plans including simulator utilization and bookings whether internal or using 3rd party

resources.

9.   Coordinates with relevant internal and external entities on various matters ensuring that crew members’ entry requirements

in operating to new stations are planned and executed timely and accurately.

10.   Ascertain the correct functional oversight vs task completion across AOCs and division tasks and consistently rationalize

the department resources.

11.   Conducts annual reviews of the rules and parameters implemented in the crew management system and other systems

used by the section; coordinates with IT Department and system providers the required functional changes or bug fixes

identified.

12.   Drives target, objectives and Key Performance Measures (KPIs) for the respective teams; Capitalizes on strengths;

Guides and manages the staff in understanding and delivering their individual targets supporting the achievement of the

section’s performance targets.

13.   Conducts periodic meetings with stakeholders and seeks feedback on areas of improvement. 

 



Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Minimum bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business, IT or related field from a recognized university.

Fluent in English.


Work Experience


7+ years of working experience in related manpower planning and delivery function within a high-volume business. Preference for those with aviation experience within the last 3 years in the capacity of Supervisor / Manager in Manpower Planning / Rostering / Training or Day Of Operations.

Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and fatigue risk management.

Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (ICAO, EASA, GCAA) and crew scheduling.

Leadership and team management with proven ability to coach and motivate.

Analytical and problem-solving skills for optimizing crew schedules and resources.

Proficient in crew management systems and proficient in Microsoft Office 

Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
