Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate manufactured components from outside suppliers in accordance to the Master Production Schedule
  • Purchase aircraft hardware, paints, and building supplies and related requirements to support the manufacturing process
  • Obtain quotes, prepare price analysis and recommendations. Buyer is responsible to review the best offer for any purchase
  • Identify cost savings, negotiate prices and delivery terms
  • Liaise with various departments including Program Management, Sales, Planning, Maintenance and Interior Completions
  • Manage order points, inventory levels and lead times to identify and lead action required to reduce and improve
  • Discuss unacceptable or inferior quality materials with inspection or quality control departments and take corrective action with suppliers
  • Develop new suppliers as required and perform vendor set up
  • Mange the logistics portion of the order and coordinate with forwarder for any urgent order
  • Manage all the invoice to ensure is close on time and run the open invoice report weekly to ensure is clear
  • Liaise with the network for any advance payment and ensure all advance payment meet the requirement before proceeding
  • Review open order monthly to ensure order is follow with supplier
  • Ensure all transfer order is completed by review the Part-in-Transit report
  • Any other job-related duties assigned by department supervisor or Manager

 

As our ideal candidate,

 

  • You must have minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing environment.
  • You must have diploma/degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or equivalent.
  • You have strong administration, organization, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • You have basic knowledge of a variety of computer software programs (i.e. SAP, AMS, Pivotal and Microsoft Office).
  • You have flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules, including needs of the organization.
  • You have Background in inventory planning and good negotiation skills.
  • You have ability to work with minimal supervision.
