Accountabilities


  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with the Service Providers, Ramp Handlers, GSAs, commercial teams and airport management for providing sufficient resources to achieve On-Time Departure Performance especially for freighter and RFS operations.
  • Lead and establish best practices to ensure all flights are maximized to their capacity and conduct review of processes and procedures for improvement of service delivery such as reduction in UTLs, operational discrepancies and offloads.
  • Responsible for service delivery of a designated area through SGHA/SLA’s and KPI/Cargo iQ measurement. Identifying areas of improvement with local EY teams and third party providers.
  • Manage resource allocation on stations within designated area and potentially where EY Cargo staff are deployed, ensuring work load distribution and optimum utilization in consideration of operational peaks and troughs.
  • Administer Premium Elite/VIP/SHS movement closely to achieve set FAB target, Cargo iQ and eAWB performance.
  • Responsible for the oversight of cargo operations to include GHA ramp interface / supervision of freighter/charter operations to drive and improve OTP in a highly challenging environment.
  • Implement measurement tools to gauge overall performance of flights and resources and implement KPI’s to highlight business needs and requirements.
  • Responsible to conduct regular inspections and audits on the facility(s) to ensure work progress and services complies with all regulatory requirements for Safety (under SMS guidelines), Security and Dangerous Goods regulations and compliance with EY procedures.
  • Coordinate with officials and government bodies to ensure smooth processing of EY cargo in line with all current legislation and regulations.
  • Lead and conduct investigations in to any cargo related safety occurrence within designated area , ensuring effective root cause analysis with tangible corrective actions that mitigate any further re-occurrence
  • Support Regional Cargo Sales and Premium Elite teams, by participating in customer visits at key stations within the designated region and identify opportunities to improve within cargo services offered to the customer.


Education & Experience


  • Five to seven years cargo operations experience is required with at least one year in a management role with multiple stations scope.
  • Experience in managing multi station cargo operations, Cargo handling systems and messaging requirements.
  • Industry training in DG/Cargo Operations/Security/Quality and Auditor training an advantage.
  • Understanding of budgetary controls related to cargo handling at network stations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cargo iQ, industry standards and Legal Regulation. Knowledge of freighter aircraft specifically the – 777F.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, High computer literacy, Strategic planning and project management skills.
