Responsibilities:



  • As a Qantas Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you’ll be responsible for maintaining aircraft to high standards, working alongside specialist teams in a safety-focused, quality-driven environment. We’re looking for qualified AMEs (Mechanical, Avionic & Structures) or those with allied trade qualifications who are seeking sponsorship and relocation assistance to Australia.


Engine and Component Maintenance Services team 


Wheel and Brakes 

  • You will be working in the Wheel and Brake Workshop. In this role, you will overhaul and repair wheels and brakes for Qantas Group and customer airlines. This includes disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, assembly, and testing of these essential components. 


Engine Shop 

  • You will be removing and installing quick engine change and line replaceable components, managing storage of engine assets and rectification of engine related repairs for Qantas Group and customer airlines as per manufacturer/company specifications.


Oxygen & Evacuation Systems 

  • You will be working in the Evacuation Systems Workshop (Aircraft slides and rafts). In this role you will be responsible for the repair, overhaul and maintenance of the latest aircraft evacuation equipment including slides, reservoirs and gas generators for Qantas Group and customer airlines.  


Electroplating

  • You will work within the Electroplating Team providing electroplating, anodising, surface preparation and cadmium plating services for various businesses within Qantas Engineering as well as other QANTAS group and external customers.


Eligible criteria  


  • Have an aircraft maintenance technician trade qualification or equivalent, preferably under EASA or CASA regulations 
  • Relevant Aircraft Maintenance trade experience minimum 6 years (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics) 
  • Extensive Aircraft servicing experience on various aircrafts in a maintenance environment (advantageous) 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Maintenance procedures 
  • Commitment to all safe working practices and service standards 
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team 
  • Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required 
  • Highly developed attention to detail 
  • Meet all Visa requirements including English Language Proficiency with the ability to meet the English language requirements set by the Department of Home Affairs
