BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE (SUMMARY)

Assist the Engine Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services,


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate.
  • Must have a Federal Aviation Administration Power Plant ( FAA) license or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal turbine engine training course from an accredited military or civilian aeronautical school.
  • Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) preferable.


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 5 years working with aircraft engine relevant to aircraft platform and position.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Removes, replaces, services, prepares, preserves, cleans and stores engine assembles or components.
  • Disassembles repairs, resembles, adjusts, diagnose tests turbine engine systems, subsystems and components according to applicable manuals and directives.
  • Assists in troubleshooting engines/engine components and rigging engine controls.
  • Uses and performs user maintenance on common and special tools.
  • Requisitions aircraft parts, and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft engine and components.
  • Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751.
  • Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the engines and associated components and sub systems.
  • Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • None.


SUPERVISORY RECEIVED

  • Reports to Supervisor Engine Workshops.


COMMUNICATIONS

  • Must be able to communicate well with others, in still a teamwork mentality, and lead by example.


OTHER FACTORS

  • Knowledgeable on Microsoft Office and associated programs is desirable.
  • Must be willing to travel or relocate to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), for short or long rotations, in support of the company’s mission requirements.
  • Possession of a valid driving license is required to operate customer's motor vehicles.
