BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE (SUMMARY)


The Technical AW139 Instructor will conduct classroom, fields instruction, On the Job Training, and assist in the development of the maintenance training programs to enhance the skills of trainees. The instructor will conduct trainee assessment and will provide remedial training as necessary. The instructor will review the course material in order to maintain training effectiveness. He/she will also maintain records of training activities and of student attendance.


QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Qualification:


• Diploma/Degree in aviation related subject preferably in aircraft maintenance discipline (Airframe/Powerplant; Electrical/Avionics; Aircraft Maintenance technology)

• Instructional techniques /‘Train-the-Trainer’ certificate and/or acceptance


EXPERIENCE


• Must have a minimum of 10 years working in aviation maintenance.

• Instructor should have a minimum of three (3) years experience teaching technical maintenance related courses on AW 139.

• Completion of an approved AW139 instructor training course, military or civilian, Part 147 Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) preferrable.

• Knowledge and experience in training methodologies and management utilizing a systems approach (SAT or ADDIE) is highly desirable.

• Previous experience as a licensed engineer (B1.3 or B2 with a strong understanding of the AW 139 systems (engines, avionics, airframe).


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language. Excellent communication skills, including clear and articulate pronunciation, are required for this role.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Perform instruction in a classroom and in the field environment (On the Job Training) regarding application of aircraft safety principle, use of OEM technical publications and aviation regulations, performing maintenance fundamentals, and other maintenance related topics.

2. Work as a course developer, designing the necessary technical information and guidance to develop instructional materials on the AW139 aircraft.

3. Review, provide expertise, assist in the development of, and/or revise courses instructional materials using the systems approach to training (SAT or ADDIE).

4. Prepare syllabus and detailing AW 139 maintenance courses which will be conducted to produce employees qualified to perform aircraft maintenance.

5. Prepare instructional materials to support AW 139 platform and other related courseware.

6. Conduct desired classroom and field (practical) instruction as required.

7. Perform intermediate and terminal assessments to determine the extent to which

learning is taking place.

8. Review assessment reports and course evaluations to amend training courses, as necessary, to ensure effectiveness of training.

9. Maintain records of students attendance, discipline and manage the learning process.

10. Maintain training records, and collaborate with other instructors.

11. Maintaining F35/UAEMAR in accordance with contractual agreement.

12. Perform any other duties as required.
