What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and grow Virgin Australia’s social media presence across all major platforms
  • Develop and execute paid and organic content strategies to drive brand love and commercial impact
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing social media team
  • Oversee community management to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to amplify campaigns and content
  • Advise and collaborate with senior leaders to maximize ROI from social media initiatives
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, continuously innovating to keep us at the forefront


You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Bring 8+ years of hands-on experience in social media and content strategy
  • Have proven success building engaged audiences and delivering commercial results

  • Are a gifted storyteller with exceptional copywriting and editing skills
  • Are a confident leader who builds strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Have a deep understanding of current platforms, algorithms, and emerging trends
  • Hold a degree in Communications (or a related field) and/or agency experience (preferred)
