ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • To conduct and establish market research facilities for product development initiatives in the form of incentives in effort to attract new airlines to all MAHB airports.
  • To develop framework of standard operating procedures on every product development initiatives.
  • To produce comprehensive reports on airline performances and developmental plans to Management.
  • To produce report to the Management on strategic plans to further develop our airports’ profile in the industry.
  • To conduct market research for the preparation for overseas ventures initiatives in developing business proposals in effort to secure bid for the company.
  • To develop business strategies in line with company’s goals and objectives.
  • To coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as Economic Development Agencies, National Tourism Organization and State Tourism Authority for purpose of business development with the airlines.
  • To work closely with the local aviation authority such as the Ministry of Transport and Department of Civil Aviation in regards to the administration and implementation of the air traffic rights.
  • To ensure an effective and efficient system to acquire market intelligence relating to airlines and the aviation industry in general.
  • To coordinate and evaluate joint airline/airport strategic initiatives.


Key Challenges

  • Acquiring market intelligence to discover product development initiatives and new business opportunities.
  • Ensuring accuracy and authenticity of all information pertaining to airlines/aviation for onward submission to Management, stakeholders, airlines and other relevant parties.


Skills

  • Good exposure to the aviation/airline industry.
  • Ability to forecast market scenarios in establishing product development initiatives.
  • Highly organized and meticulous at work.
  • Strong analytical skills with strategic orientation.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Highly articulate with good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia language, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated with strong drive for excellence.


EXTERNAL

  • Degree certificate; preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics / Statistics or related business discipline. 
  • Master Degree would be an added advantage.


EXTERNAL

  • Degree with minimum 7 years relevant experience.
