Key Responsibilities:

• Implement both manual and automated testing, with a focus on analysing and validating that the product is free of defects and works as intended.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed test cases.
• Design, develop, and document test cases that cover all functionalities of the system.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and recording the outcomes.
• Validate that the software behaves as expected and meets all specified requirements.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that changes or updates don’t introduce new defects or break existing functionality
• Identify, isolate, and log defects during the testing process.
• Provide detailed defect reports, including steps to reproduce, severity, priority, and impact on the system.
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues and re-test fixed defects.
• Perform functional testing to verify that the system behaves according to specifications.
• Perform non-functional testing, such as usability, compatibility, and performance testing, depending on the project.
• Collaborate with QA Lead, development teams, product managers, Cybersecurity team, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality goals.
• Attend project meetings to discuss progress, issues, and testing timelines.
• Clearly communicate test results, defects, and risks to all relevant parties.
•  Maintain comprehensive and well-organized documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test results.
• Ensure that testing documentation is up to date and accessible for future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT Quality Assurance roles with testing methodologies, test automation, and quality assurance tools.
• Solid knowledge and proven experience with test management and automation tools
• Basic knowledge of backend testing, validating data integrity, and running queries to test database interactions
• Knowledge of bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM to log, track, and report issues.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT quality assurance.
• Ability to understand complex systems, break down functionality, and identify potential edge cases or scenarios that need testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques
• Strong skills in writing clear, concise test cases and defect reports and in results presentation.
