As the Professional Engineer – Avionics and Software you will be responsible for: 

  • Day to day Avionics Engineering tasks of a CAMO organisation: managing airworthiness, identification and prioritisation of fleet issues, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in safety, operational performance and efficiency of aircraft avionic systems and components. 
  • Managing Aircraft Controlled Software (ACS): liaising with other departments as required to support software creation, design and distribution of SW including ACMS and AOC development, SITA/ACARS integration, and other initiatives. 
  • Managing connectivity platforms across different fleet types, for connection between aircraft and ground for exchange of data. 
  • Developing and delivering fleet modification projects: developing project documentation, vendor proposal assessments, liaising with stakeholders and vendors to meet project milestones and objectives. 

You’ll have – 

  • Professional Engineering degree qualifications in Avionics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace or equivalent. 
  • Experience developing engineering instructions for Avionics repairs and modifications to Airbus or Boeing aircraft. 
  • Understanding of ACS as aircraft components (certification, configuration, part control, defect investigation, cyber security aspects). 
  • Functional understanding of software engineering tools. 
  • Experience with project management preferred. 
  • Highly developed skills in problem solving and analytical thinking. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple conflicting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Proven organizational and communication skills, with an ability to translate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
