Key Responsibilities


  • Drive the creation and upholding of good HR practices internally within the People Advisory team to ensure consistency and compliance 
  • Provide advice and guidance to line managers and support People BP on People related operations, including standard procedures and best practices and lead people initiatives to meet business and operational needs 
  • Handle employee grievances and complaint cases 
  • Work closely with various stakeholders including other People Centre of Excellence teams and shared services team to deliver People Hire to Retire services 
  • Ensure full and systematic record keeping of required documents including approval records, audit checking reports, and employee personal files 
  • Support the People Advisory Manager on regular and ad-hoc HR exercises including performance reviews, annual and off-cycle salary reviews, and job rotation 
  • Drive the review of daily HR processes, e.g. data and case handling practices, templates and documentation standards, etc. and identify areas to drive changes and alignments within the BP CoE as well as other People CoE teams and shared services team 
  • Drive all process and/or system improvement and self-service automation projects of the HRIS and case management systems to improve daily HR operations experience and ensure data quality 
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently and equitably applied with all legal requirements are met, and that positive employee relations are developed and reinforced 


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, psychology or relevant discipline 
  • Circa 8 years of work experience as an HR generalist or in HR advisory or HR business partnering 
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and to create positive changes in a collaborative, convincing manner, and to manage client expectations 
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy, to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and to maintain confidentiality 
  • Experience working in a matrixed organisation and driving HR projects 
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and desirable of some knowledge of international labour law and practice 
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent organisational skills 
  • Strong influencing, consulting and project management skills with a result-oriented mindset and approach 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including collaboration, coaching and counselling skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills
