Responsibilities


  • The role requires an in-depth knowledge of all areas relating to major airline operational efficiency across a multitude of stakeholders & resources, supported by data & analytics. 
  • Owns the OTP & Disruption Management Manuals that our OCC teams and other stakeholders across the group refer to whilst planning mitigation packages. 
  • Works closely with Integrated Planning departments in driving cross departmental collaboration and positive impact. 
  • Owns the policy and process relating to OTP & Disruption readiness for the OCC and works closely with front line staff and standards & compliance to ensure the business and brand is protected at all times. 
  • Has a strong knowledge base on scheduled block time analysis and can identify opportunity for improvements. 
  • Chairs and owns Group OTP Meetings and ensures the correct delay codes are assigned across all delay minutes and acted upon for minimizing negative trends. Identifies opportunity for process and policy change to positively impact the groups OTP. 
  • Continually assesses and is ahead of the curve regarding approaches to OTP & disruption management through the use of technology and best practices. 
  • Requires a data centric, analytical minded character, that can engage well across many stakeholders with the ability to cut through noise and act on signals. Identifies risk well and can support Safety in running risk assessments along with audit participation. 
  • Comes with a positive energy focused on improving OTP, on the ground and in-air practices, and builds a strong framework of disruption readiness to protect Wizz passengers, crews, staff and brand. 


Experience


  • 3-5+ years overall experience, with 2+ years experience at a large sized airline 
  • LCC experience is an advantage 


Hard skills


  • Strong understanding of precision time schedules and the principles of OTP 
  • Strong knowledge of all operational above and below wing processes 


Education


  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree 


Language


  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

  • Experienced in building relationships and driving positive change 
  • Experience leading operational disruption 
  • Strong negotiator that thrives in complex scenarios 
  • Confident at working alongside senior leaders and offering solutions and advise to complex challenges
