Multiple full-time, 15-month fixed-term shift work opportunities based in Mascot, Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing fuel & air traffic flight plans.

• Operational support on all aspects of flight dispatch to Qantas Flight Crew.

• In-flight communications and re-routing/replanning.

• Systems maintenance & recovery.

• Back-up systems support.

• Identifying/acting on relevant information that affects flight planning activities across the Qantas network.

• Training in flight planning, flight watch, and maintaining the flight dispatch database.

Requirements

• Sound understanding of the airline business including operations and commercial activity.

• Strong customer service focus, with the drive to exceed expectations.

• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks.

• Solid experience working in an operational environment, with experience in disruption management.

• Tertiary qualifications in Aviation Management or relevant discipline is desirable but not essential.

• English Level 5 Proficiency is required.
