The Materials & Supply Chain Manager leads the Materials Department to ensure component and material availability for aircraft maintenance while controlling inventory, cost, quality and supplier performance.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Materials Department to ensure component and material availability for aircraft maintenance.

• Establish materials management policies, procedures, directives, and instructional documentation.

• Negotiate and finalize contracts and General Terms Agreements with vendors, service providers, and manufacturers.

• Negotiate BFE and SFE purchasing agreements alongside Marketing and Engineering teams.

• Oversee initial provisioning of LRUs and LMPs based on fleet expansion and aircraft acquisition.

• Control inventory, set minimum stock levels, and establish economic order levels for expendable spares.

• Develop and implement Warranty Management procedures.

• Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders and customs clearing agents.

• Optimize inventory and ensure material availability for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

• Monitor supplier performance, repair orders, logistics and material costs.


Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.

• Extensive aviation materials and supply chain management experience.

• Experience with aircraft parts procurement, inventory control, supplier negotiations and contracts.

• Strong knowledge of aviation supply chain procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency with airline ERP systems and spreadsheet software.

• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
