Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure timely initial provisioning of rotable, repairable, expendable and consumable items for engine and aircraft by analyzing manufacturer recommendation and establishing requirements to be able to effectively support fleet growth and maintain dispatch reliability.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of aircraft and engine spares and material through proper use of flight inventory systems to be able to support aircraft maintenance and maintain dispatch reliability.
  • Establish reports and measure item level analysis and take corrective/preventive actions in order to achieve and maintain desired service levels. Setup and administer policy and procedures for Service Level and Nil Stock analysis.
  • Carry out a timely and periodic review of non-moving and over stocked rotable, repairable and expendable items to establish contractual buyback items and surplus stock and obtain management approval to declare such items as surplus in order to reduce inventory and create opportunity for sale of surplus.
  • To establish efficient and effective material planning procedures, methods and parameter applicable to different types and categories of aircraft parts in order to maintain cost effective and optimum level of spares and materials.
  • Review all purchase requisitions raised by end users and confirm the correctness of the request before passing to Procurement.
  • Supervise the maintenance of the TRAX system PN Master records for integrity and accuracy, float calculation, review of rotable spares requirements and review part number interchangeability and applicability based on industry standard parameters.
  • Prepare and submit monthly rotable and expendable spares inventory reconciliation reports.
  • To participate in selection and acceptance of new inventory system and lead implementation in order to ensure the new system has the desired functions and features, is implemented smoothly and utilized to maximum capability.


Skills

  • Minimum of University Graduate
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of probability theories, inventory systems & models and principles of forecasting and materials management
  • Knowledge of other related Maintenance & Engineering function like Base & Line Maintenance, Repair & Warranty, Stores & Distribution and how they work individually and their process interfaces with Material Planning & Control.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems including maintenance philosophies, practices, policies and procedures, and ATA Specifications
  • Expert level knowledge of Trax system or similar ERP systems.
  • Well acquainted with technical documentations like Aircraft IPC’s, Supplemental IPC’s, Aircraft and Manufacturer SB’s, SIL’s, AD’s etc, Aircraft/OEM CMM’s, Aircraft AMM’s.
  • Strong knowledge in the interpretation and implementation of policies & procedures
