A. ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Monitoring the quality systems, including the associated feedback system ensuring
compliances to the approved process, procedures and approved manuals.
• Ensure compliances with the conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate,
CAAM regulatory requirements and standard.
• Monitor the Quality Management System to meets regulatory and organizational
requirements, supports continuous improvement, ensures compliance, safety and
reliability, and reduces waste.
B. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for monitoring the quality system, including the associated feedback
system to ensure CAMO continues to meet the requirement of CAAM.
• Monitoring via planned audits that the company's Continuing Airworthiness
Management responsibilities and activities are being performed in accordance with
procedures accepted by the CAAM
• Monitoring via audits that AirBorneo (AB) aircraft maintenance continues to comply
with the requirements of CAAM.
• Responsible for monitoring compliance with CAMO quality system per CAD 6802
paragraph 11.1 with adequate procedures required to ensure airworthy aircraft.
• To liaise with all relevant Regulatory authorities pertaining to Continuing Airworthiness
Management Organization certificate and contracted Approved Maintenance
Organization
• To develop and direct all aspects of Quality Systems in accordance with the
requirements of the company and relevant Aviation Authorities in the most efficient and
economical manner
• Responsible for coordinating action on airworthiness occurrences and for initiating any
necessary further investigation and follow-up activity.
• Responsible for AB CAME submission and its amendments to the CAAM for approval
• Responsible to the Accountable Manager on quality matters and has direct access to
the Accountable Manager in the event of any reported discrepancy not adequately
attended to, and that the accountable manager is kept properly informed on quality and
compliance matters.
• Performing Quality surveillance
C. AUTHORITY
• Regulatory & Government Liaison: Authorized to liaise with the Civil Aviation Authority
of Malaysia (CAAM) and government liaison with regards to Quality Assurance and
reporting.
D. DELEGATION OF DUTIES
• Administrative & Operational and regulatory Alternate: Manager, Quality
Assurance/CAMO Quality Manager.
E. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Degree in mechanical or Electrical or any other degree accepted by CAAM
/ Diploma / SPM
• Licensing: B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licensed or previously held the
AMEL.
• Completed a course in quality management or quality assurance equivalent to the
type of course required for a person to gain certification as lead auditor.
• Relevant regulation training pertaining to initial and continuing airworthiness
• Training on relevant parts of operational requirement and procedure.
• Training on CAMO’s continuing airworthiness management exposition.
• Safety Management: Thorough knowledge of aviation SMS systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of the CAMO’s exposition.
• Knowledge of CAAM regulations and standards applicable to continuing airworthiness
of aircraft.
• Experience & Profile:
• Or Minimum of 5 years of experience in management in quality management and
quality assurance
• Minimum 3 years in the management role.
