Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the financial services growth strategy, identifying new revenue streams, product adjacencies and partnership opportunities that expand the Velocity ecosystem.
• Own the commercial performance of the financial services portfolio, delivering revenue, margin and customer value targets.
• Identify, evaluate and launch new financial services propositions, including fintech partnerships and innovative commercial models.
• Optimise the performance of existing financial services partnerships, unlocking additional value through pricing, portfolio mix and commercial strategy.
• Drive data-led growth across acquisition, engagement and retention, embedding experimentation and continuous optimisation frameworks.
• Lead the development of investment cases and commercial strategies supported by robust financial modelling and strategic insight.
• Represent Velocity in senior partner engagements and complex commercial negotiations, building long-term, high-value relationships.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team while influencing senior stakeholders across Velocity and Virgin Australia to deliver strategic growth outcomes.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

• Bring deep financial services expertise, ideally across credit, payments or fintech, with a track record of delivering commercial growth through strategic partnerships and innovative propositions.
• Demonstrate strong commercial leadership and advanced sales capability, with experience negotiating and scaling high-value partnerships.
• Have a sophisticated understanding of loyalty ecosystems, customer acquisition and engagement strategies, and how financial services products drive member value.
• Combine strong business modelling and behavioural analytics capability to evaluate opportunities, shape strategy and optimise portfolio performance.
• Thrive in agile, high-growth environments, influencing senior stakeholders and leading teams to deliver complex, enterprise-level initiatives.
