Description

The Ground Safety Specialist supports the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) with a focus on ground operations and maintenance & engineering by monitoring safety reports, assisting in investigations, and analysing operational data. The role contributes to identifying safety hazards, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Working closely with ground operations and M&E departments, the specialist helps drive continuous improvement in ground safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support ground operations and M&E safety by reviewing operational data and safety reports specific to ground and maintenance area.
• Assist in the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) within ground operations and M&E.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into ground-related safety incidents and assist senior staff in root cause analysis.
• Liaise with ground operations and M&E teams to ensure timely submission and follow-up of safety reports.
• Support development and delivery of safety training and briefings related to ground operations and M&E departments.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and assist in compliance monitoring.
• Contribute to safety promotion activities targeting ground operations and M&E personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Aeronautical Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• SMS Certificate is preferred. 
• Minimum 1 year experience in aviation safety, ground operations or maintenance & engineering.
• Fresh graduates may be considered with relevant aviation/engineering qualifications.
