Accountabilities


Capacity management:

 

  • Regularly monitor and adjust overbooking levels and decrement settings to manage capacity effectively and maximize revenue. Correct post-departure data issues, and apply forecasting adjustments (HSE, Influences) to improve show-up forecast accuracy as well as ensuring no revenue spoilage and spillage on flights portfolio managed.
  • Work closely with Network Planning and Network Revenue Optimization teams to ensure optimal capacity utilization based on forecasted demand/revenue, evaluating operational adjustments for upcoming seasons, including schedule changes and flight cancellations.
  • Provide recommendations to Network Revenue Optimization team in terms of tactical capacity upgrade during a specific route peak period with revenue forecast supporting it.

 

Holidays and Special Events management:

 

  • Regularly and as per routine guidelines, review the Flights Monitoring dashboard alerts, identify root causes, and key drivers of high/low bookings and provide recommendations to Demand Managers and/or Pricing Managers on actions to be implemented to further improve quality of the revenue intakes growth at flight-departure date level with follow-up meetings.
  • Monitor and manage availability at flight departure date level during Holidays and Special Events (high demand peak periods) to ensure revenue maximization looking at competition positioning tools and EY daily intakes data feed.
  • Ensuring no flight-departure date is being alerted as overheating or stalling in the Flight Monitoring Dashboard during this period.

 

Design and implement flight-level inventory strategies to maximize revenue:

 

  • Collaborate with Pricing Managers, Demand Managers, Group Analysts, Network Revenue Optimization, and Network Planning to design and implement route-specific strategies that maximize network revenue in line with leadership guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of booking trends, passenger preferences, network flows, and ODs that transverse assigned routes.
  • Ensure that the correct passengers flows (Point of Sale, Origin-Destination) are accepted at the right time in booking window (days prior to departure) and at the right fare (inventory class and pricing) to maximize revenue.
  • Implement inventory ad-hoc closures in inventory system to override RMS (PROS) availability outputs where required and provide recommendations to Demand Managers team on opportunities to further improving the demand forecasting with regular follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Groups RM Desk to optimize group and individual passenger mix during peak and low-demand periods based on historical demand trends and design a group acceptance strategy document for each managed route.


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in an airline revenue management department. Knowledge of inventory management and demand forecasting is a must. Pricing technical knowledge preferred.
  • Requires strong communication and negotiation skills.
