As the Finance Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis, you will lead the financial planning, forecasting and performance insight function across the Qantas Loyalty portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Finance – Planning & Performance, the role is central to delivering disciplined forecasting, high‑quality analysis and clear performance narratives that support effective senior leadership decision‑making in a large, complex and consumer‑centric environment.

The Finance Manager will provide leadership and governance over the monthly forecasting process, ensuring timely, accurate and commercially robust outlooks that reflect underlying business performance and key drivers. Through strong partnership with Finance Business Partner leads and senior stakeholders, the role will challenge assumptions, improve forecast accuracy and strengthen performance accountability across the business, enabling more informed and forward‑looking decisions.

The Finance Manager is pivotal to the effectiveness of Loyalty’s FP&A capability, leading and developing a team responsible for driver‑based financial models supporting monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and longer‑term planning. The role owns the month‑end performance cycle, translating financial results into meaningful commercial insights by linking operational and customer drivers to financial outcomes, and delivering executive‑level commentary that clearly articulates risks, opportunities and performance trends.


What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ Years’ experience in a similar role in a large, complex matrix organisation
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Business or other relevant discipline CPA/CA equivalent
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leadership decisions
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem‑solving capability
  • Proven people leadership experience within a finance environment
  • Financial acumen with resource management experience in a project context 
  • Good communication and influencing skills to ensure project visibility and support
  • Intellectual capability to quickly understand and apply new concepts
  • Strong sense of urgency, focus on outcomes and drive for success
  • Ability to work in teams and to lead and contribute in a team environment
  • Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial and/or problem-solving skills
