POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Overall responsibility for all network development activities, including network design, capacity, optimization, performance, and availability. Primarily responsible for providing top level technical support of the network infrastructure security perimeter.
• A solid understanding of available network operating systems, network devices, and networking protocols is essential.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Provides day to day support for network security and operations tasks, including assisting peers with issues and escalation related to Network matters.
• Responsible to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the operations and maintenance functions to ensure the best possible levels of service quality and availability are maintained (SLA and SLO).
• Work under strict change control processes to ensure only authorized changes are made to devices.
• Analyze and translate requirements from standards, policies and guidelines from security perspective and support routine compliance activities.
• Ensures the implementation of the IT network design for efficient operation, appropriate growth, and needed levels of reliability and security.
• Facilitate device refresh of network security devices with a focus on capacity, manageability, and security of new and existing security infrastructure.
• Understand the business process, logical and physical descriptions, criticality of the subsystems and interrelation within the MAHB network ecosystem and resolve complex issues.
• Responsible for planning and conducting periodic maintenance, failover exercise, patch activities and vulnerability testing.
• Participate and provide technical support in network implementation projects wherever and whenever required.   and lead remediation projects.
• Maintain confidentiality with regards to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
• Create and maintain technical documents, records, configurations, policies, procedures, and service records.
• Manage the inventory of network devices.
• Overall responsibility for services under Network Infrastructure & other duties as assigned by superior.
• Non-Technical: Strong business acumen, experienced in stakeholder management and good fault isolation/ identification skills and analytical skills.

• Manages beyond area of control that contributes to network performance.
• The individual must be experienced in large enterprise or service provider network architecture, analysis, and engineering implementation.

Education

• Degree preferably with specialization in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or equivalent.

Relevant Industries

• Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 and minimum 1 year relevant experience.
