ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Assist the Head of Operation in routine administration of airport activities i.e. Manpower Planning, budget, surveillance and monitoring of SMS, DCA audit, ISMS, QMS and SHE implementation.
  • Perform frequent surveillance of all airport operations to detect and correct of any unsafe, inefficient, illegal or unsanitary conditions.
  • Monitor contract services performances and activities, maintenance program/plan to determine compliance with established maintenance schedules and standards.
  • Promulgate information and the aerodrome operational state such as temporary withdrawals of facilities, runway closures, work in progress etc.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient VIP/VVIP movement.
  • Responsible for coordinating work on maintenance program at landside, terminal and airside area for dictating the safety requirements.
  • Attend meeting to provide technical operational information regarding airport operations, policies with government agencies, airline companies, contractors and airport tenants.
  • Serve as technical operation advisor to the managements of the company in the formulation of policies, plans and procedures.
  • Ensure that the aerodrome airside operations are operated in accordance to procedures and regulations.
  • Report and investigate incident and accident within airport boundary.
  • Emphasize on compliance of operational procedure and requirements
  • Co-ordinate with maintenance personnel to identify cause to equipment failure and ensure minimal down time.
  • Assist HOO in preparing yearly budgetary and business planning, report preparation and office administration.
  • Act as coordinator during emergency/crisis.
  • Responsible for collection of aeronautical charges after office hours.
  • Secretary for airport forum such as facilitation committee, passenger handling coordination committee, runway safety team, airside safety committee, disable aircraft recovery committee, wildlife hazard management committee, aerodrome manual committee, airport emergency committee.
  • Compile and analyze operational data for ALOS.
  • Assist HOO on complaint management.
  • Review and update HIRADC and Malaysia Airports Risk Scorecards (mars).
  • Assist in realizing the target goals set by the company.
  • Carry out any directives given by airport higher authority.
  • To ensure compliance with the Annex 14, MCAR and other relevant documents and propose solution to the management on any issue that perceive not accordance to the standards.
  • To immediately response and resolve any operational issue at the terminal, landside and airside
  • To coordinate with all units in airports as to ensure all facilities are in good working condition

  • The principles, practices, procedures and techniques of airport operations and management
  • Laws and regulations applicable to airports and airports operations, especially on regulatory requirement, ICAO Documents, DCA Airport Standards Directives and other documents of Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs)
  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), Procurement Policies & Procedures (3Ps) and other related requirement in managing operations.


Relevant Industries

Degree holder with minimum 3.0 CGPA with minimum 1 year relevant experience 


Education

Degree in Transportation / Business Admin or equivalent
