This opportunity is based at our Head Office in South Bank, Brisbane. As you'll be working from our Brisbane office, you'll need to be based locally.

What you'll be doing…

As a Delivery Manager you will help deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused technology change across the business.

Reporting to the Delivery Lead, you will manage the delivery of a significant customer -facing digital stream supporting the evolution of Virgin Australia’s digital customer experience. You will bring structure, visibility and accountability across planning and execution, working with Sponsors, Product, Technical, Security, Architecture, vendors, Change, Test and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will work closely with the Delivery Lead and cross-functional teams to coordinate delivery and maintain momentum across your initiatives.

You will:

Develop and maintain delivery plans covering outcomes, scope, milestones, funding, dependencies and acceptance criteria.

Manage risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and dependencies across interconnected technology streams, ensuring owners and treatment actions are clearly identified and working with teams to resolve blockers.

Monitor and escalate changes to scope, cost, timing or outcomes before they impact delivery confidence.

Run or support delivery forums focused on facts, actions, risks, decisions and outcomes.

Run all Agile ceremonies for delivery of a digital stream, from planning through to delivery.

Maintain a practical delivery cadence, remove impediments and support clear accountability across workstreams.

Work closely with development teams to coordinate delivery across different technical and delivery workstreams, from build through to testing, release and go-live readiness.

Work with delivery and technical leads to understand team capacity, sequencing and resourcing requirements.

You'll be great in this role if…

You're an experienced delivery professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced digital environments and knows how to bring order to ambiguity. You’re curious and proactive, asking questions early, anticipating delivery risks and helping teams maintain momentum.

You take ownership of day-to-day agile delivery management and can influence outcomes through disciplined planning, clear communication, effective risk management and strong stakeholder alignment.

You're also comfortable challenging assumptions, asking the questions others may not and respectfully pushing back when a different approach is needed.

As well as…

Proven experience contributing to an end-to-end go-live of a customer-facing digital website or platform. (essential)

A strong understanding of the full digital delivery lifecycle, including user story development, API integration, authentication, testing, release and go-live readiness. This experience is essential to be considered for the role.

Experience working closely with software or technology development teams across the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and build through to testing, release and go-live.

Experience managing complex technology initiatives across planning, scope, budget, risks, dependencies, stakeholders and go-live readiness.

The ability to influence and align a broad range of stakeholders, including business, Product, Technical, Security, Architecture, vendors and delivery teams.

Experience delivering in an Agile environment, with strong working knowledge of delivery methods, project or program governance, financial controls, assurance checkpoints, readiness and transition.

A structured, evidence-based approach to reporting, decision-making and risk escalation.

Experience delivering digital initiatives within large, complex organisations where multiple stakeholders, integrated systems and shifting priorities are the norm.

Strong judgement and the ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities and delivery trade-offs.

It would be a bonus if you have:

Experience within the airline, travel or loyalty industries.

Exposure to modern software delivery, integration technologies or ITIL environments.
