This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and turning data into insights that influence real business decisions.

A key part of the role will be using data to uncover trends, opportunities and risks, while improving the way information is prepared, reported and used across the business.

Reporting directly to the Leader Charter Pricing and Analysis you will:

Prepare accurate and timely client invoicing across VARA charter clients and VAA RPT block clients, along with month end accruals, reconciliations and variance analysis

Build and maintain robust financial and commercial models to support pricing, forecasting, scenario analysis, profitability assessments and business cases

Analyse revenue, cost, margin and operational drivers to understand performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities

Support pricing decisions and the evaluation of new and existing charter opportunities

Transform complex financial, operational and commercial data into clear insights and recommendations for decision-makers

Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting, data quality and existing processes using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL and Python where appropriate

Work collaboratively with finance, commercial, operational and B2B stakeholders, as well as external clients, to resolve queries and improve commercial performance

You'll be great in this role if you have:

Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, data analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

Experience across financial reporting, month-end close, accruals, reconciliations and management reporting

Demonstrated experience analysing complex financial, commercial or operational datasets and producing meaningful insights

Strong commercial modelling experience, particularly using Excel for forecasting, pricing, scenario analysis, profitability or business cases

Advanced Excel and Power Query capability

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear commercial recommendations

Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a broad range of stakeholders across finance, commercial, operations and B2B environments
