Accountabilities

• Works within Enterprise Data Management (EDM) / DART to create solutions and technology designs, develop standards, and build architecture runways, especially for Azure-based platforms using services like Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, and Databricks.
• Works closely with Technology & Architecture to ensure the solutions defined & developed align with the agreed technology roadmaps, business capabilities, technology strategy and are implemented as designed.
• Ensures solution and technology architecture standards, governance and principles are implemented effectively using the Etihad Architecture Frameworks and Tools.
• Develops the design and implementation of solution architecture as part of both agile and waterfall delivery, enabling innovation, cost efficiency, strategy alignment and speed to market.
• Ensures solution and technology architecture assets that are developed for Value Streams are aligned to the DTI strategy and are compliant with the enterprise’s future state architecture.
• Responsible for developing emergent design, intentional design, model driven design, solution context and solution design that meets the business requirements, strategy and vision, standards and principles.
• Provides consultation to the product and project delivery teams, identifying ways to apply new or existing technologies to support business initiatives, innovation, facilitating the reuse of ideas, components, services, and proven patterns.
• Defines and develops solution & technology architecture value accelerators, patterns, standards, enablers and digital technology transformation within EDM / DART to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide architecture.

Education & Experience

• Solution architecture and technology expertise with a minimum of 7 years of experience in complex IT architecture environments. Airline industry experience strongly desirable.
• Track record of delivering architecture solutions for data warehouse, big data, business intelligence and data science initiatives.
• Hands-on data modelling experience; familiarity with airline data (e.g. PNR, TKT, etc.) strongly desirable.
• Strong practical knowledge and experience of concepts such as data lineage, data quality, data lifecycle management, reference data management, metadata management.
• Hands-on experience in building and managing data platforms using services like Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Synapse, and Cosmos DB, with expertise in building data pipelines and data lakes.
• Familiarity with data security and data privacy concepts and concerns.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree is desirable. One or more Certification in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture mandatory – e.g. TOGAF, SAFe Architect, Open Certified Architect, ISEB Architecture, UML or ArchiMate
• Experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT, driving common approaches, delivering sustainable, re-usable solutions using both agile and waterfall.
