Key Responsibilities


Manage the Cargo iQ certification programme

  • Ensure the Cargo iQ programme complies with the IATA Cargo iQ certification requirements
  • Support and facilitate the preparation of Cargo iQ audit by external auditors
  • Update and maintain Cargo iQ quality manual and training material, and Cargo iQ-related operational procedures in Cargo Procedures Manual (CPM)

 

Improve quality of cargo handling by Service Providers (Internal)

  • Establish divisional KPI of Cargo iQ metrics (shipment milestones: Ready For Carriage/Notify For Delivery);
  • Monitor data quality of freight status (Cargo iQ) milestones received from service providers; 
  • Investigate and review with stations on recurring irregularities and failures to conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective measures to improve service handling;
  • Administer disputes received from stations regarding Cargo iQ failures; 
  • Conduct validation and verification tests of Cargo iQ-related messaging with new Ground Handling Agent (GHA), when required.

 

Improve service quality and experience to Customers (External)

  • Regular engagement with Cargo iQ forwarders & Global Partners on data quality issues;
  • Generate monthly/cumulative performance scorecards of Cargo iQ metrics to Cargo iQ forwarders and Global Partners;
  • Conduct root cause analysis of the failures and data irregularities;
  • Recommend and track implementation of corrective & preventive actions taken by the relevant stakeholders; 
  • Maintain/update Cargo iQ shipment milestones in Encore. 

 

Custodian of the Aircargo eXchange Information System (AXIS) system and its suite of applications:

  • Support the continued development and enhancement of AXIS to meet any new dynamic requirements and expectations from business units; 
  • Collect feedback and ensure users are well-trained and confident with using the various applications in AXIS;
  • Conduct UAT of any new Cargo iQ-related changes which impact iCargo, AXIS and any operations systems;
  • Conduct webinar/workshops when implementing any new updates/enhancements in AXIS to the network,

 

Represent and participate in the bi-annual Cargo iQ working group - and in at least one of its sub-working groups. 

 

Administrative and project duties as assigned

  • Conferences/Events – participate in the Global Ops Conferences and IATA events, when required.
  • Ad hoc projects/studies;
  • Coordination for system activities affecting operations;
  • Conduct integrated cargo warehouse audits.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an university
  • Experience in air transport operations 
  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Good communication skills – written, oral and active listening
  • Ability to interact and respond effectively with various stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to manage own time & prioritise accordingly 
  • Ability to work on non-routine problems
  • Willingness to actively learn, adapt and adjust as needed
