Responsibilities

• Evaluate suppliers and maintain the Approved Suppliers List.

• Purchase material within approved budget.

• Place purchase orders and ensure products, tools or services conform to specified requirements.

• Ensure parts are ordered from approved suppliers and repairs are subcontracted to approved organizations.

• Generate purchase order requests through SAP.

• Arrange inbound and outbound shipments and coordinate customs clearance.

• Monitor timely deliveries and report delays.

• Provide approved replacement parts and materials to support maintenance activities.

• Manage tools and calibration.

• Review outstanding orders and ensure orders are closed in SAP.

• Coordinate with production, planning, invoicing and finance departments.

• Support Aircraft On Ground requirements.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in aviation or a material/parts environment.

• Experience working in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

• Procurement negotiation skills.

• Working knowledge of purchasing, tendering, FAA/EASA material regulations, shipping terms and Incoterms.

• Planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain or an engineering discipline.
