Key Responsibilities


  • Assist the Crew Scheduling Manager in managing the pairings and roster construction process for our flight crew and cabin crew, ensure all roster requirements are being well organised and communicated clearly to Crew Scheduling Officers for monthly roster construction
  • Consolidate Schedules and all roster requirements from Network Schedule Planning, Crew Planning and Crew Operations, keep track of the scheduled productivity of flight crew and cabin crew at rostering stage
  • Work closely with People, Line Operations, Flying Training office, the Flight Crew People Service team and Inflight Service Delivery to ensure all flight crew and cabin crew leave and basing requirements are incorporated in the monthly schedules
  • Manage and develop performance measurements for flight crew and cabin crew rosters and other related issues, and to proactively make recommendations to the Crew Scheduling Manager for continuous improvement
  • Handle and investigate crews’ enquiries related to flight crew pairings and roster, upload supporting information onto Flight Operation's website
  • Ensure that all staff are suitably trained and possess the relevant technical knowledge, devise appropriate training programme for all flight crew and cabin crew rostering
  • Deputise the Crew Scheduling Manager for meetings if required, foster team synergy and provide coaching to Officers
  • Attend regular meetings and maintain good partnerships with Crew Planning, Crew Operations – Training, Flight Operations Management (CX and LD), Flying Training Managers, Planning Department, Air Hong Kong and other related parties
  • Undertake specific duties and projects as delegated by the Crew Scheduling Manager, enhance performance of the section through the use of automation and other process improvements measures
  • Monitor performance of team members, review and discuss feedback received with team members to drive continuous improvement


Requirements


  • A bachelor’s degree in aviation, tourism or any related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in crew management environment, or equivalent
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of the Avoidance of Fatigue in Aircrews legislation (AFTL), Conditions of Service, Rostering Guidelines and crew training requirement is a must
  • Good knowledge of aircrew manpower/roster handling is an advantage
  • Solid people management, negotiation and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and decisively under pressure and within a team
  • Good planning and organisation skills
  • Strong team-building skills and ability to effectively deputise in the manager’s absence
