Ancillary Pricing Manager 



Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the role

The Ancillary Pricing Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of ancillary products, defining and executing market- and route-level pricing strategies, and closely monitoring performance. This role involves analysing ancillary revenue streams, forecasting performance, and identifying both strategic and tactical pricing actions to optimize outcomes. Working in close collaboration with Pricing, Ticket Revenue Optimization, Ancillary Products and Data Science teams, the manager also contributes to cross-functional development projects related to ancillary products, pricing systems, and processes. In addition, the role carries ownership of specific ancillary revenue streams, with accountability for delivering incremental value and driving growth in non-ticket revenues. The Ancillary Pricing Manager will report to the Senior Ancillary Pricing Manager within the Commercial organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market- and route-level pricing strategies for ancillary (non-ticket) revenue streams, including fee portfolio optimization.
  • Monitor daily performance against KPIs (e.g., RASK, unit revenue), ensuring delivery in line with or exceeding budget targets 
  • Analyze business and customer trends, conduct forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and profitability assessments to inform pricing decisions 
  • Implement tactical pricing actions and drive continuous revenue optimization across ancillary products 
  • Own and manage ancillary revenue streams, including identifying new opportunities and improving existing offerings 
  • Collaborate closely with Pricing, Ticket Revenue Optimization, and Data Science teams to enhance pricing models, systems, reporting, and sales conversion 
  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving ancillary products offer, processes, and revenue performance
  • Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and stay informed on industry trends and innovations 
  • Prepare business cases, insights, and presentations to support senior management decision-making 

Experience

3-5+ years working experience with 2+ years of experience in a similar role (pricing, strategy, consulting, etc.) and working with and interpreting data and analytics. 

Hard skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint.  
  • Additional technical skills a plus: PowerBI, SQL, etc. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, sciences or other analytical field. 

Language

Fluent in English (both written and spoken)  

Skills and competencies

  • Advanced level of EXCEL, Power BI, PowerPoint 
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate to the upper level of the organizations management, strong business acumen 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to cooperate with a variety of stakeholders, team player personality 
  • Strong sense of business ownership and accountability for own portfolio 
  • Drive to learn and improve professionally 
  • Good project management skills 
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written) 
  • Ability to live and work in Budapest, Hungary
