Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspect and prepare surfaces of aircraft panels/component surfaces
  • Removal of surface coatings and light corrosion from aircraft or aircraft components
  • Apply paints and specialty coatings via various methods (spraying, rolling and brushing)
  • Apply stencils, decals and aircraft specific markings, livery and registrations
  • Perform rectification work involving the preparation and painting of aircraft components
  • Apply specialised coatings to aircraft components in accordance with approved maintenance data
  • Planning and organising own aviation maintenance work activities as they apply to painting and finishing
  • Applying quality standards applicable to aviation maintenance processes as they apply to painting and finishing
  • Interpreting and using aviation maintenance technical data including manuals, drawings, and specifications as they apply to painting and finishing
  • Completion of aviation maintenance industry documentation as required by relevant Regulations and Quality procedures


We’re on the hunt for:  

  • At least 2 years’ experience in automotive or aircraft painting preferred
  • Similar experience in other aviation industry position or in related industry
  • Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance procedures (Experience with aviation procedures preferred)
  • Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Have or able to apply for ASIC card
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Hold a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence
