We are looking for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join the Kansai Airport Line Maintenance team. As an Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our operations. You will help deliver industry-leading performance by supporting our fleet and upholding the highest standards of safety for our people and customers. Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct and certify routine and non-routine maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft in accordance with the HKAR-145 and company requirements. Conduct and certify routine and non-routine maintenance for third party customer aircraft (if applicable) in accordance with the appropriate national authority and customer requirements. Perform local or overseas operational relief duties or the duties of an Aircraft Mechanic as required and in accordance with the relevant Job Description. Monitor third party supplier performance, follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner. Execute the contingency plans and support ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.Ensure the availability, serviceability and cleanliness of station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities. Coordinate and support Cathay Quality Assurance, Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, third party audits, follow up audit findings and implement mitigations to prevent re-occurrence. Help to embrace a continuous improvement culture through quality innovation, teamwork, and lean processes to drive operational efficiency, productivity and commercial improvementAny other reasonable task as requested including non-operational duties and projectsEmergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required


Requirements


  • Valid or renewable HKAR-66 B1.1 license (as stated in HKAR66 appendix XII)FAA/EASA B1.1 may be considered. Minimum of 2 current aircraft type authorisation, preferably on the type operated by Cathay and level 3 trained. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance environment. Strong operation knowledge of aircraft maintenance and ground handling activities. Good knowledge of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department airworthiness regulations. Good business awareness. Good communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese. Must have the legal right to live and work in Japan.

  • Base salary: JPY481,110 ~ (determined based on experience and skills)Fixed allowance per month: JPY50,000Life support allowance per month: JPY38,000 + Base salary x 7.4%. Other allowances: the company regulations apply. Social insurance: Unemployment insurance, Worker's compensation insurance, Health insurance, Welfare pension insurance. Commuting expense allowance: Up to JPY50,000/month. Working hours per day: 7.75 hours. Break time: 1 hour. Basic sift pattern: four days on duty and two days off every week. Probation period: 3 months. Annual leave: 16 days in the first year after completing probationary period (prorated based on the month of joining)
