BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE (SUMMARY)

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft electrical systems maintenance. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualification:


  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license or industry equivalent. High School Diploma. Graduated from military or commercial aircraft maintenance school or course required.
  • Must be able to attain a UAE Driving License.


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 6 Years Aircraft Avionics or Electrician - Aviation Maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 Years Electrical repair on aircraft type.
  • Must have thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in performing maintenance on the relevant aircraft.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft and equipment electrical systems in accordance with applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures.
  • Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
  • Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures.
  • Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support, and On-the-Job Training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out self sufficient aircraft electrical repair capability.
  • Carry out all assigned tasks by the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Must be able to communicate well with others, instill a teamwork mentality, and lead by example.


OTHER FACTORS

  • Must be willing to travel in support of the company’s operational requirements.
  • Knowledge of computer applications. Proficient in the use of MS Office suite and applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Adobe and the internet.
