Summary of the job description:


  • The job holder leads the representation of ATR in this region (~40% of our in-service fleet and orders), including commercial and customer support and services duties.
  • The job holder will, in particular, lead the ATR Eastern Support (AES) Team(~50 staff) with high integrity and according to the ATR leadership standards and values.
  • The job holder shall develop ATR in the region by developing adequate strategy, actively promoting ATR company products and services to prospective customers and stakeholders (federal and state governments, authorities, communities, airlines), and ensure appropriate customer support & services performance and future developments as need be.
  • The job holder shall build and maintain great work relationships with regional ATR operators, suppliers and other service providers. Customer support and Customer satisfaction should be unequivocally first on his/her mind.
  • The job holder will be responsible for managing the APAC aircraft sales support funnel in and the aircraft transaction origination performancetogether with the commercial team. He/she will have a regional air mobility strong advocacy role to play in the region.
  • The job holder aims to meet and exceed AES financial objectives including, but not limited, to revenues, sustaining costs, contribution margins and customer debt. In addition, he/she must ensure the Company’s strict adherence to all taxation and other fiscal regulations at a local, state and federal level.
  • In terms of team members, the job holder ensures a culture of mutual respect, excellent collaboration and high performance among all AES team members. He/she shall lead by example and inspire his/her team to develop talents and skills that will enable them to excel in their respective roles. It is the responsibility of the job holder to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all ATR Eastern Support’s team members.


Your Mission


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (General)


  • Formulate clear priorities & strategies for all sales support, customer support and service functions as well as for the associated cross-functional functions (finance, company secretary, etc.).
  • Lead and support teams in the delivery of their aircraft sales support and marketing efforts as well as services through integrated customer account management, where appropriate.
  • Implement plans to achieve expected results.
  • Maintain a working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to other ATR entities, ATR operators, suppliers and other service providers.
  • Provide frequent updates on the financial and operational situation of AES at ATR headquarters, prepare and hold semi-annual meetings with the Board of Directors of AES.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Customers)


  • Ensure a 360° view of customer accounts, including the market, fleet plan, aircraft purchase/lease, aircraft phase-out, required operational support.
  • Deliver on customer commitments, always according to the highest standards of customer service.
  • Build and maintain reliable relationships with customers, actively listen and help them in their journey to profitability. In doing so, provide support that will enable them to achieve high aircraft reliability, availability and cost-effectiveness. It is an escalation point for customers and manages internal actions as needed.
  • Provide a clear view from ATR HQ of customer complaints and perceptions.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Company)


  • Ensure teams comply with local, state, and federal regulations for ethics, compliance, and tax & customs requirements.
  • Develop executable strategies to increase sales revenue and market penetration, with a focus on optimizing gross margins responsibly, managing the company's cash flow. In doing so, closely monitor the payment behavior of customers in order to keep non-payments to a minimum.
  • Effectively control overall overhead costs and operate within OP objectives.
  • Represent ATR at regional aviation conferences and other industry-related events.


About you


Minimum Requirements:


  • Degree in Science, Engineering, Aviation Management or Commercial / Business Administration.
  • At least fifteen years of aviation/aerospace experience. At least five years of direct or indirect management experience of a team. 
  • Must be product quality conscious and understand Customers' constraints and expectations.
  • Relevant experience in a customer facing role and commercial / sales role in commercial aviation and/or regional mobility is a must.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance and overall airline operations.
  • General knowledge of the APAC region industry.

Computer Skills


  • Independent and able with CRM and Microsoft Office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


Work Environment


  • The work environment consists of the average office environment, as well as off-site venues for presentations and meetings, and aircraft hangars and ramps, including working outside in weather conditions or wherever Customer aircraft is typically located.
