ZHEJIANG LOONG AIRLINES CO.,LTD. was established on April 19th 2011, and launched its maiden cargo flight on August 9th 2012 and domestic passenger flight on December 29th 2013. Based in Xiaoshan International Airport of Hangzhou, as the only airline headquartered in Zhejiang province, Loongair provides comprehensive public passenger and cargo services. With a complete set of licenses in air transportation, including domestic and international passenger and cargo service qualifications, Loongair has developed into a medium-large sized airline and has ranked among the largest private airlines in China. It is also designated by Zhejiang Province as an “Eagle Act” company.

The company strives to implement the national strategies of “Belt and Road Initiative” and “Strong Nation in Civil Aviation” etc. , to build up the “one backbone with two wings structure” in Zhejiang Province and All-directions layout in China, then it plans to connect all the countries along Belt and Road area. In Zhejiang Province, it is based inHangzhou, and has established subsidiary bases in Ningbo and Wenzhou. Across China, it has established the north-west, south-west and central-south branch offices in Xi'an, Chengdu, Guangzhou respectively.Up to now, Loongair has cumulatively operated up to 600 domestic and international passenger and cargo routes, covering the whole country and reaching more than 170 cities in countries and regions along “the Belt and Road”, such as Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia and Central Asia.

The company continues to cultivate the high-end aviation services and engages in expanding business along the whole aviation industry chain. In 2020, Zhejiang Loongair Group was registered in Hangzhou,as well as two subsidiaries in flight simulator training and aircraft maintenance.It has also invested heavily to establish an innovative and intelligent MRO center. The Phase I hangar and apron of the MRO base started operation in June 2022, filling the gap of no large-scale MRO base in Zhejiang province and Hangzhou airport. The company carries out the digital strategy as top level design to accelerate digital empowerment in its operation. In June 2020, the self-developed “Pilot Digital Portrait” was listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a key project of the “Economy Promoted by Science and Technology 2020 Action” . The company also took the lead and jointly established the Technological Innovation Strategic Alliance of Civil Aviation Intelligent Brain Industry together with several other enterprises and research institutions , such as COMAC(Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd.), Civil Aviation University of China, Civil Aviation Flight University of China and China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology, etc., which was officially approved by the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) in May 2021.

The company vigorously practices corporate social responsibility. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the company has made great effort to maintain its flight operation of the important routes and solely-operated routes. Loongair has invested over 100 million RMB to launch new flight routes to some remote or less-developed regions, such as Aksu, Yanji, Enshi, Zunyi, Yan 'an (7 of which were selected by CAAC as“100 Red Tourism Routes for the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China”). In recent years, the company was granted a series of awards by the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Transportation, the All-China Women's Federation, and Zhejiang Province as Excellent Unit of Communist Youth League, Excellent Unit in Transportation Industry ,Excellent Units or Individuals in flight against COVID 19 in Zhejiang Province, Outstanding Unit of Women in the fight against COVID-19, Outstanding Enterprise in East-West Cooperation on Poverty Elimination and Outstanding Unit and Individual of Zhejiang Province for Active Participation in the CIIE(China International Import Expo). And Mr. LIU Qihong, the Chairman of Loongair, is granted the national prize of “Advanced Individuals in Poverty Elimination Campaign".

On October 16th 2019, the company became the only official prestige partner of air transportation service of the 19th Asian Games, Hangzhou 2022, which makes Loongair the youngest airline to be the official partner of a major international sport event.
